The distinguishing features of the BA series


 



  • Complete separation of clamping unit and extrusion unit.

  • Clamping unit with underlying guidance - Rapid movement by means of 2 hydraulic cylinders using
    proportional technology (one on each side) with mechanical synchronized guidance.

  • A fully synchronously operating control by means of an electronic hydraulic control system act on locking bars
    and ensure exact welding and secure locking of the mould with precisely defined clamping force distribution. This ensures that, irrespective of reaction forces occurring, the advancing displacement is identical at all points of
    force introduction. Such a system ensures a perfect closing movement.

  • The entire clamping unit can travel on rails. Consequently, for mould changing, it can be rolled out away from
    the head, so that mould fitting by means of a crane or forklift truck is easily possible, especially as there is good access to the clamping region through the locking bars from the sides as well. In addition, the system may be optionally used for continuous parison extrusion, as appropriate for example in the case of coextrusion. In this
    case, automatic sideways-travelling of the clamping unit is employed.

  • The relatively little moved masses and a modern hydraulic system ensure that the energy requirement and consequently the operating costs remain low. Only the opening and closing displacements necessary for pro-
    duction are executed. Rapid closing speed guarantees short cycles.

  • The system may be extended by connecting downstream postcooling and/or punching stations to form complete production lines, these stations being constructed on the modular principle.

  • The extruder platform with standard electromotive height adjustment ensures good accessibility to extruder
    and head. It corresponds essentially to our previous successful solution for this area.

  • The accumulator head range with capacities from 2,5 to 80 liters guarantees an economic solution for every
    task, either with single or with double head. Furthermore, the system may be equipped with heads for continuous parison output, to be precise optionally for BI-EX-production (multilayer process for processing recycled material)
    and for CO-EX production (multilayer technique using barrier material and bonding agent).

The advantages


 



  • Low non-productive times by virtue of high travelling speed.

  • Reliable synchronisation of the clamping force distribution by uniform force introduction ensures a high
    service life of the mould pinch-off edges.

  • Consequently possible low moved masses result in low force requirement and energy consumption.

  • Electronic-hydraulic position control during the mould closing movement allows sensitive closing to optimise
    the pinch-off seams for all materials.

  • Simplified mould fitting and removal by virtue of the entire clamping unit being able to travel forwards.

  • Electromotive height adjustment of extruder and head platform as well as of lower calibrating station.

  • Optional operation with automatically travelling mould clamping frame allows production also to be carried
    out with continuous extrusion (CO-EX, BIEX)

  • The system can be extended by arranging downstream stations to form a production line.

  • Standard VDU control system with mould-clamping and accumulator-head output rate control with fault
    diagnosis.
